For the first time, major retailers, hair and beauty experts got together to put on an exciting new event this summer.
Over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of June, there were fashion shows, beauty makeovers and hair demonstrations in the Wulfrun Centre. Entry for all visitors to CityStyle was totally free.
Visitors to the CityStyle arena were able to get some fashion tips and take part in our prize draw (goodie bags available to the first 100 people at each show), with discounts, freebies and special offers.
Beacon Radio Thunder crew were present at CityStyle over the weekend. Leading up to the event Beacon Radio is ran a 'Football Widows' competition to give one lucky lady, who is not a footie fan, a whole host of fashion and beauty prizes including £250 of Primark vouchers, a cut and style from Francesco Group and Virgin first class rail tickets to London, Boots Beauty Gift Hamper, a Superstar evening for two at Yates and a £500 diamond cluster ring from Carats Jewellers. The winner was Jodie Carswell.
The Express and Star featured CityStyle in the Star Woman Supplement on Thursday June 3rd with a sneak preview of some of the clothes in the fashion show. CityStyle 2010 was organised by Wolverhampton City Centre Company with the support of many organisations including Network West Midlands, Wulfrun Centre, Mander Centre and Beacon Radio.
